Dennis,

No matter what his motives, I certainly can't argue with some of his statements. For the most part they're true. It can be a very quiet crowd of over 100,000 fans at times. I don't know the reason(s) but it's been that way ever since I've been going. I do know it's one of the reasons our home record isn't as impressive as some of the other "big name" schools. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that if you looked at the home records of the top 25 big name programs over a period of years, we'd be near the bottom. Home field advantage is not worth as much in Happy Valley.

Having said that, I will also say that in a really big (close) game, the place rocks. If it's close on the 14th, you'll hear us - that's for sure. OTOH, if Nebraska gets an early big lead, forget it. You may as well watch one of the reality shows on CBS or NBC - it would be more exciting.
