He probably did hit on a good point - the average age of the crowd. It stands to reason Va. Tech. fans would be a younger group.

BTW, I've always heard that the UM stadium is very subdued too. Someone speculated it's the stadium itself. You walk down into the stadium instead of up - not sure what difference that would make tho. Is that a physics thing? <g>

I was there! I was there when Beamer would get toasted in the school papers. I was there when there would be epithets about Beamer scrawled on the bathroom stalls. I missed one home game when I was a student, because I had a thermodynamics test the next day - but I couldn't stay away and ended up watching most of it on TV. So don't give me any grief about being a johnny-come-lately.
