John, "has filed a suit against..." I just checked out both Bill Murphy's LeMetropoleCafe and the GATA messages at Yahoo, and no mention of what you heard. I do have to admit that this type of talk has always been food for thoughts, but never attached to any in-progree legal action that can be located for verification and status. Mostly of the type "... they are looking into.." The Russ Winter and 4FigureAu mining threads are very focused on both the mining and business real facts, and eventhought ABX is not one of those discussed since they are really focused on trading to make short and long term money on the speculation angle, i don't remember any hints or what-ifs on ABX to wait & listen for news-in-the-making. My personal views is that this thread has had too much speculation on Barrick that caused many including myself to over react and go onto one side fighting the other side. Everything will come out in the near future since a paper trail and even if Barrick really has a no lose position with their hedging vehicles, that as we all know, when things go bad it will mean that someone or company someplace will receive the short end of the stick. Its very possible that ABX using what is legal was able to protect itself from the doom & gloom Gata has discussed as a bad future for Barrick if the gold price explodes. If so the Barrick ABX shareholders will not be hurt. For myself i do not really factor in a crash & burn Barrick as needed since i know that more than enough hurt & pain will be delivered to many persons once the gold manipulation is ended and the light of truth is turned on. Guess my message here is that legal action taken or not against Barrick is an event far to much in the background since we saw the Howe lawsuit get stopped in its tracks. But the beat goes on and even the Howe lawsuit will be reviewed in detail later once it becomes knowned that the United States has allowed the criminal transfer of the people's physical gold into the hands of nations that view the United States with contempt to the extreme of wanting it to die. Really made me wonder why certain folks bashed the Howe lawsuit when it was an immediant way to stop the transfer of America's gold into the hands of the enemy. Guess Gata Bill Bashing was more important than the so called "I'am for the United States." line they gave. Almost as if they are high on top of a truck waving the flag and giving a fence test to others to prove their support towards the United States, and this while the truck is carring away America's physical gold to the enemy. Lets see, while they bashed GATA while standing on top of that truck, they were actually helping that truck take away America's gold. doug
