Can do integral equations and partial differential equations. (Well, those that can be solved.) pitch manure, Yes. program a computer, Yes. fight efficiently, Well, as efficiently as I can, yes. die gallantly. Not unless really necessary. Heinlein was an optimist.

[got to read the article to which he is responding, as well] ... on the 'we must defend ourselves or lose our country' point i agree with him entirely ... it is truly shameful, this state to which the Liberals have led us .... and we've let them do this - there is no great grassroots support for the military ... i can't believe the apathetic reaction to proposals of foreign troops being stationed here ... wake up people, before it is too late That John L O'Sullivan character is keeping Castro in power today, with the help of CANF et al .... they wanted Cuba for another slave state, having just taken Tejas ... Martí writes at length on the Manifest Destiny ideology, he lived in NYC for some time .... the US eventually got Cuba for quite a while too, sixty year period right through to Batista ... that's Fidel's main asset, that he liberated the cubanos from the US mob, and when they keep threatening they keep validating the fear of return to that subjugation, helping him play it up ..... it's 2002, and they're still occupying Guantánamo, hard to believe eh
