David, If the DOW were to go below 5000, you could bet your farm that the NAZ would go down to 800. I think that NAZ should have very strong support at 1000. Unless we get a full blown depression (still possible), I don't see it penetrates that level (for long). DOW is probably going to test 5700-5800 for a nice 50% pullback from all time high. Am not sure whether we can get it in the next 4 weeks. I bet that we get a tradable rally in winter and sets a major bottom in the 2rd quarter next year. This market won't favor those buy and hold types until the recession is fully over. BTW, I say that we are again in a recession now and don't see us getting out of it until at least next summer. good luck, larry!
