Gustave admits to being an anarchist??? An anarchist wants brute force to be the power of law. The concept of anarchy recognizes no authority and no government. So, in an anarchist's society, everyone runs loose, and the rule of law is the rule of terror and force.

Gustave's greatest payback would be to have his family live in anarchy.

I'll remain living in the greatest democracy, and the world's most successful and greatest form of government, here in America.

Gus can remain believing in a flawed and failed concept. Who knows, perhaps Gus relishes in failure and anarchy.

Craepstein, I use the expression "Thank God" as a purely literary form, the same way I'd say in French, Dieu merci. That doesn't mean that I refer to that Mr God of yours.
