MB:

Back a few days ago, but just too busy to post.

Carted only a few shorts through the last two weeks, as I don't like big exposure while I am on the road. Unloaded all but IBM into yesterday's thump. I will get back aboard today or tomorrow on any bounce.

Anybody who thinks the U.S. economy is "turning around" should go talk to folks out in the real world. The "warnings period" that is just getting underway is going to open bullish eyes,...... and then blacken them.

As always, one has to wait until the market starts to recognize reality before committing too aggressively, but at this end, I expect the warnings will do this. We shall see.

More once I get settled in.

Best, Earlie

KT, obviously someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. -g/ng-

>>>Bear markets end only when the previous bull market's excesses have been corrected and stocks are undervalued. Until then, Richard Russell of Dow Theory Letters confidently predicts, "the all-powerful primary bear trend [eventually] will... swallow up all the manipulations... of those interests who are attempting to stem the tide."<<<
