One of the nasty lessons from the bear market - when the herd swamps a value stock with selling, it's hard to fight the tide at a minimum and could be suicidal if the selling is masking some serious bad news that the company hasn't put out yet.

I would rather stock up on little favorites like MAXF where I have a pretty good idea how their business is progressing. Grabbing a falling knife because a company looks like a value but the forward earnings are suspect....very risky.

I can't find much at all lately that really turns me on. I am more inclined to add to my existing value financial stock positions than take a risk on new plays.
