Hopefully, this report is true....if they can get the subsidized price of a handset down to $200, the unit would be an instant mass seller.

Nokia To Unveil New Camera Telephone Friday - Report
Thursday September 5, 7:13 am ET

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Nokia Corp. plans to introduce a new mobile telephone with a built-in camera capable of taking video pictures Friday, Swedish telecommunications newsletter Telekom Online reported Thursday.
A Nokia spokesman said he couldn't comment on "speculation."

The Finnish company, the world's largest maker of mobile telephones, has scheduled a press conference in Marseilles for Friday afternoon, amid speculation it is preparing to unveil new models.

Telekom Online said the new telephone, to be known as the 3650, will include a built-in camera capable of taking both still and video pictures. The telephone will be a "lighter version" of the 7650 camera telephone model that Nokia began selling earlier this summer, Telekom Online editor Mats Sjoedin said.

Sjoedin said the telephone will be targeted at the youth market, with sales to begin before the end of September.
Nokia is holding its press conference in conjunction with a snowboarding and entertainment event it is sponsoring.

He declined to identify the source of his information.

Sjoedin said the telephone will support picture messaging and have a operating system from Symbian PLC , the U.K.-based software maker that Nokia and other telephone makers back.

The telephone will be triple-band, allowing it to be used on Global System for Mobile, or GSM, networks around the world, Telekom Online said.

It will include Java and a Real One streaming video player and have polyphonic ring signals, Sjoedin said.
