"We can" do a lot of things, but that doesn't mean we will any more than it means we should.

Are you really that cynical that you think our leadership would defy American and World public opinion, Congress, governments of the World, and the UN (assuming, as you apparently have, that they can't make a case that will sway opinion and gain support) and invade Iraq, costing thousands of American lives (any many more Iraqi lives) as well as our standing in the World, just to get their hands on Iraqi oil fields?

Or are you even more cynical than that, perhaps even paranoid, seeing a grand Orwellian conspiracy to seize absolute power and control through propaganda and constant warfare?

I'm not sure whether you are cynical or dumb, or just being an ass and pretending to be cynical. In any case, your "point" is truly dumb.

You just like to hear yourself complain.

If you ever took an issue to the point of resolution with another poster you'd get frustrated because there would be nothing left to argue and complain about. So you keep shifting the issue a few degrees with each post. That is a bunch of passive resistant crap, GST. It doesn't make people's lives better or help people form solid opinions. It's not constructive.

All it does is keep you arguing and complaining, which I guess is your motive. No wonder you fear newswire links like Kryptonite. They contain responsible information and that's not on your agenda.

you keep talking about oil in this. Oil prices are slipping. Demand is slowing. And opec is set to increase its production quotas soon anyway.

Why did we send Spec Forces to the Philipinnes? Was that for oil too?
