I put "God" in quotes because it is a human term and as such has a huge historical baggage. I really don't think any God-like entity would call itself "God". If a God-like entity exists (I can only conjecture about it) then why it could do things such as I suggested which are paradoxical and antithetical to its existence? How could it? It would be a half-dominant God if it cloned itself and then not THE God and this would have a consequence. Yup, I'm pretty sure even your omnipotent Jehova has rules. I can't know them but I see no reason not to think it.
