Roebear... I don't know... yet, lots of conflicting data out there.

A headline from WSJ:

U.S. AUTO MAKERS POSTED double-digit sales increases in August as cheap financing and other discounts continued to lure consumers. GM boosted its earnings outlook and production forecast.

...I think we'll have another go with base-metals once we get past this month. The Europeans are back to work, auto sales are edging up and I don't see a housing bust anytime soon. So what do you say? Increased steel production implies increased energy use?

I might be wearing horns here shortly...
