Economy is set to puke -- the only thing that can mask it is a WAR.

I am not sure how long even that would mask our problems. The massive gov't spending really wouldn't go into making equipment and weapons like past wars, and energy costs would go up. It might divert attention for a while, and we would get the mother of all squeezes when it was over. But after that, back to your regularly scheduled program.
