This suggests that technology continues to lead the market on the upside, and remains a favorite vehicle for traders seeking to maximize their gains.

Unfortunately, it is also the favored vehicle for the bears to see the bulls maximize their losses. I remember reading recently that technology is, longterm, a pretty lousy investment. Too much uncertainty and too much risk for the returns. If I remember correctly, the article was mostly about IBM and how its longterm returns lagged the market. Other technology companies probably weren't around long enough to be included in the measurements. Remember DEC?

Spectacular short term gains though, just take those profits when you see them I guess.
