The space program was great. It inspired, it worked, and it was fully accountable. My suspicion however is that this group in power has no such intentions. In my unfortunate cynicism after watching this crew and their predecessors, it appears they are only after the simple crime of wealth transfer, fraud against the taxpayer of monumental proportions, secured by secrecy policies that would have made Stalin blush. That's boring. It also avoids the important task of protecting the American taxpaying public who pays these thieves, who then blithely declare, err, ho hum, $2.3 trillion is missing, and now in other news .... These same taxpayer-non-protecting thieves had an admirable batting average "getting the real killers", after 9/11: zero Get the bums out. Get in honest, fresh blood, who can be truly "vetted", inspected and fully disclosed top to bottom, with windows in their past, and in their workspaces for the public to look in on their budgets, excluding true military secrets (about 1/10th of 1% of what is "classified"). I don't want silly notions of "national defense" information, but the truth and full accountability of budgets and programs. To say, "gee, we can't tell you, it'll tip off the enemy", is manufactured horsh*t. No one wants disclosure of state secrets. But when TRILLIONS are unaccounted for, it's time to fire everybody, and start over. The death of this country would come from within, by lying thieves such as these controlling the media, not from any external enemy.
