There's your 50 million. 5) The longer we take, the higher the probability these sewer rats will begin to believe in American weakness (your favorite situation), and the more of them that will have to die to close the sale. The former colonialists faded away in the 15 years after WWII, so these herd animals have reverted to the wild once more (see Arab/Israeli conflict, 1948 to present). Of course, we could just roll over and die, and let them start civilization from scratch. You'd LIKE that, wouldn't you? Then we wouldn't have to admit it's human nature to have to get your hands bloodied every few generations. Maybe by 2500 there would be an Islamic renaissance, and by 2700, an enlightenment. Or maybe we should resolve to drag them, kicking and screaming, into the modern world that we have ALREADY built with our ALREADY superior culture. The REAL problem the left has with THAT is that they are sworn and passionate enemies of the American culture and way of life, and would be just as delighted as the sand rats to see it destroyed. Sorry, rich, you can move to Damascus if it makes you feel better, but the rest of us aren't going down without a fight, and it's gonna be a DOOZY...>>

As a non-vet, I feel bound to ask: "Knowing that you will be placed in harm's way by the President's policy in Iraq, are you ready to roll? If not, what is your military argument against it?" I assume that our forces will roll, whether they agree with it or not because that is the way it works. However, their opinion is valuable. We can't afford any more debacles like the one in Somalia. Once committed, our forces should be allowed to pursue the objective and not be withdrawn because the President is getting some bad press.
