Dear Dave: RIGHT ON. Frankly, I dont see a lot of battle casualties here unless somehow biological or chemical weapons get unleashed on our troops. IF Saddam does what he SAYS he is going to do, which is withdraw into the cities, principally Bagdad, and prepare to fight street to street I see no reason why we need to play his game. Just block him off and let him ROT in the city. We learned in Vietnam, the COUNTRYSIDE is where the people live and thats where its all at. The key to this is do the Iraqui people REALLY want a regime change and will they come to us if we make it possible for them. If they do, this could be over in short order and little real FIGHTING involved. I personally dont know the answer, but I am hopeful our decision makers have this pretty much planned out. JDN
