I second Engineers preferences. Seems that stock buybacks at reasonable prices make a lot more sense than dividend distributions that are immediately taxable to shareholders. Real and material buybacks would create similar investor sentiment.

Though I would not be opposed to initiating a nominal dividend, I agree with your term real and material for buybacks. Not a token amount, but a large multi-year buyback plan that highlights a confidence in large, expanding free cash flow for an extended period of time.

For argument, say $5B over 5 years.
