Louis:

I bought on brokers recommendation AKAMAI as a new issue. I remember thinking he was crazy. The stock had no earnings, little income, and was in my mind incredibily overvalued at issue price of, as I recall 27.00. Broker insisted that I buy and that he was doing me a favor because not too many shares were available.

I called broker at 3:30 on day of issue and stock was trading about 130. I knew the world was insane at that time. Told broker to sell, AKAMI eventually went to over 300 as the bubble reached its extreme and then the bubble burst current price .91, i.e. 91 cents. Hows that for a roller coaster. It was the best 1 day profit I ever realized, but I knew we were in a bubble for sure.
