Lorne, your asking a wrong person about history. He certainly is not Gibbons or Will Durant! He still thinks that Israel is north of Alaska and the world is flat! Where he comes from education is consists of identification of willing young male camels!

lorne,

That is the general drift of the story, but there are plenty of inconsistencies...it is a disputed subject.

Many believe that Avram was a mythical person dreamed up and presented through Bible stories to represent a tribe's quest for freedom and their own land.

But for the sake of this discussion, lets assume it was and it is established in toto as such.

What does that have to do with a group of individuals who have never been there before, are non-observant and a fact that there were folks already living there and were displaced by those who commanded better resources of the West to foist themselves onto that native population?

The Jews you refer to are not the same "Jews" that occupy Isra-El, especially those from the West, as the present day Egyptians are not the same people as the Egyptians as when the Pharoahs lived.
