According to this article looking back on the Munich Olympics, one of the terrorists is still alive.

snip.....

That the attack achieved its political objective, elevating the Palestinian cause, is undeniable. That the Israeli government spent years tracking down and killing anyone it believed connected to the attack is well documented; only one of the eight terrorists, Jamal Al-Gashey, is still alive, somewhere in the Middle East.

I wasnt all that familiar with the exact events that took place so it was a pretty good read. It is unbelievable that they continued the events that morning even after Olympic officials knew about the hostage situation.

'an eye for an eye makes the world go blind'.

I'd rather remember the unfortunate people that died that day, than recriminations.

cheers, kumar

30 years from now, it would not be unreasable to expect people to [not know] or [forget] Sep 11 2001. We have history as a precedent on Sep 5 1972.
