Nice news, I don't think that is fully prices in, a lot of skepticism.

"Planning", not projecting. Better than the alternative.

re: - GM 51% +/- few points, both Q3 and full year (good news).

I agree that's the news. Niles guessed that margins could be down as much as 1%.

A better report than I expected given the recent news. And if Intel is doing (barely) OK, and PC sales are down, I wonder what's up with AMD?

...which is entirely due to the change in GAAP accounting rules that ends the requirement that Goodwill be written down - unless they've made that clear, Intel is really trying to pull a fast one.

Nonetheless, flat GAAP earnings are something to be proud of in the the current economic environment.
