There seems to be an information disconnect but then I don't pay attention to Network Appliances press releases and web site provided information too closely.

Let's see, I have book around 2.55 not 2.64.

Some reports have listed (not NTAP's of course) no growth in their high end NAS head (can you say EMC?).

NTAP's gross margins have dropped from 60% down to below 44%.

I was taught that value investors tend to buy near or below book....

EMC has gone into the high end NAS market and NTAP has gone into the low end commodity market with their NearStore solution....

My crystal ball is screaming squeeze play for a company used to high gross margins (and low volume of products). I have not seen a strategic approach out of this trap.
