well....because the points between the retrace major tops and bottoms is mostly goo......

the 3-1 overall count works better for the big trend....but this time it was almost perfect for the 1426 top to 1251 bottom.....

so if it stayed perfect.....believe it or not....the bottom retest you see as the 1202 would fall on options friday the 20th.....the ramp to 1269 you see would end the day after the fed meeting the 25th.....then bleed down to 1000 leading to that last week in october....

in between has never been perfect so thats why i'm still cautious on the count.....especially with the unknown sept 11th effect and as always options week.....

My QQQ max pain calc from yesterday was indeed wrong (errors in my spreadsheet)--the iqauto site has the right value at 24, at least for now.
