Yes, it's wired. To attach 2 PCs you'll need 3 cables, from the modem to the router and from the router to the PCs.
Any cat 5 cables with molded ends will do fine. In my own experiments I saw no speed difference between cat 5, cat 5E or cat 6. Cables with clamped ends are a little cheaper but molded ends last longer and are more reliable.

Linksys BEFSR41 v.2 4-port Router

Pat, I have one of these and will buy another per: Kid Rock & SIer formerly known as Joe B. They work with Cable & DSL. Once cables, CAT5, are connected you type in URL of Linksys, from the quick start guide included, and everything is automatically configured. You will be asked for User name, Leave Blank, Password, type in "admin" without Quotes and chances are you will be configured automatically.

Click on some of the below for an education. Steve Gibson.
grc.com,
reccommends these highly. You will go here to Test Your Shields Up, Open Ports, Leak Test when configured.

Your local BestBuy, Costco, Circuit City, whomever, has them on sale with a $10.00 rebate coupon inside box until Sept. 9th. Probably better than e-bay.
