Jim, finally made it back to Fairfield County, Connecticut. I have not been back for 3 years. Houses that were selling for $220,000 3 years ago are now selling for $375,000-400,000. Besides the price I was surprised to see the large inventory. I don't know if people are trying to bail out at the high or if the economy is causing the sales. I would think the former. My friends in the area seem to be doing very well and judging by the large numbers of BMWs and Mercedes the economy does not look as bad as I expected. I guess this is the quiet period before the storm begins. Off to Manhattan for some fun and good food.
