Intel is a fine company, but Barrett is second rate, so sorry to raise a point that the group think team has a difficulty dealing with. Intel Investors did not marry Barrett. Its time to upgrade.

...The facts are the facts

Unfortunately you've fallen into a logical fallacy here. You presented a thesis, and then provided what in your opinion was evidence for that thesis. Others have responded to that evidence and in many cases have weakened it to a point where the thesis is no longer supported. Rather than countering their arguments, you have maintained your opinion. No law against that, but don't then have the audacity to smugly insist that your opinion is "fact".

Wolff, <The facts are the facts>

Give me a break. All you have presented are opinions, especially the ridiculous notion that Barrett is entirely or even mostly to blame for INTC's stock price drop. Then you repeat the same thing ad nauseum as if repetition will make your opinion more valid.

Have you seen the Nasdaq these days? Have you noticed how Intel is continually making a profit even in the toughest of times? Have you seen how well Intel has executed with regard to its manufacturing? And all you can do is criticize him for not being a good stage performer.

Relax, Intel's fundamentals are strong. If you want a company that focuses on appearances over substance, try Enron ... oops, too late!

Wolff, Re: "You're novel idea is one of ignorance"

Just because I don't agree with your opinion of Barrett, it doesn't mean I'm ignorant. As others have said, you have not presented any facts - just opinions. For you to accuse the entire board of being an "imbred clique" only shows ignorance on your end.

You have contributed what you thought of Barrett, and people disagree. Now it's time to step down from the podium, and leave the insults for another forum.
