Just disable BlackIce and restart it after setting up the router. Removing proxy server software, if necessary, is just unchecking a box: Internet Properties>Connections>LAN Settings.
The regular instructions include info you probably won't need. The quick install directions should have all the info you need:

For the adventurous Windows Media Player 9 Series Beta is now available for at least XP through Windows Update.
If anybody does give it a try PLEASE report your opinion here.

Thanks SIfkaJB

You are about to download beta software, distributed for feedback and testing purposes. Microsoft does not provide technical support for beta products. If you install the beta version of Windows Media Player 9 Series, it will replace your current version of the player. This software is for advanced users who are comfortable testing pre-release software. If you are unsure of whether this accurately describes you, Microsoft recommends that you do not download this software. You can only download separately from other components. After installation, you can return to Windows Update to download additional components.

Enjoy fast and flexible music and video playback with Windows Media Player 9 Series, the first Smart Jukebox! New features including Fast Streaming for instant-on playback, Mini-player mode, unmatched audio and video quality, and more make this the best player yet. Best experienced with Windows XP!

Hi Pat, SIer formerly known as Joe B seems to have covered all. Only Firewall/Proxy I have is V.3 Zone Alarm which shows most of my Ports Open before Router install. I disabled it while configuring Router then enabled it afterwards. Steve Gibson also says to use Zone Alarm if you have it in addition to Router. Works with or without Zone Alarm. I'll use Zone Alarm full time.
