One thing is for sure: there are lots of people hoping Brinker will fail.

I don't know about lots but I think that most who follow Brinker don't want him to fail but understand that there is a good probability that he will. Although we can certainly debate the meaning of "fail" in this context.

Not only do the numbers need to show a profit, they have to show enough profitability to make up for the risk of jumping in and out of the market and taking the nasty side trip to boot.

I, for one, would like to see him succeed because, frankly, it's a pretty cheap way to find MOABO (free since he's going to blab it on air or so he has been promising). If, for the price of listening to Mr. Irritating Liar from time to time, one can find the bottom of the bear, that would be a small price to pay.

The only problem is, he didn't find bottom the last couple of times (during the secular bull) and has misplaced it during this bear.

As Tim has been speculating, do you honestly think that Brinker would have held onto the QQQs from the 70s to the 20s (so far) if he thought the overall market had this must to fall? I don't think so. That would make him evil or insane.
