wstera,

Thanks; she already has. Our youngest (5 years old) absolutely bounces out of bed in the morning to go downstairs to play with Ginger, and the dog is in heaven.

We have made a tradition of getting all our pets from...

Just thought I'd mention. If a person wishes to rescue a dog, but would really like one breed. There are many breeds that have rescue operations in effect. There are people and breeders who keep the dog's until a home can be found. Truck drivers who will transport the dog cross country for free. Much cooperation in the rescue operations. They don't want any of these dogs to be put down by the spca. All of them, in Humane Society and in Rescue, are there because of the owners. It's not the dog's fault. Almost always.

Also just to mention. My dog is a reject. She is not for breeding. But a great dog. I wanted a dog such as her. I couldn't get into breeding. I asked for a reject from one of the country's top breeders. She had exactly what I wanted. Breeder gave me a discount on her. Even though I wasn't looking to save money. I got her at four months old. I'm in love with what I got.
