So we need a three-syllable term to fit nicely in the mythic literature

No, I don't much care about the poetic retrofit aspects of it. It just needs to be more natural sounding than Unitedstater. Spanish and Norwegian and Japanese all roll off the tongue nicely and have a dignity about them. Unitedstater has no style at all.

While I'm sympathetic to the arrogant appearance that co-opting the name of two continents gives us and am willing to change to avoid offense, we need a reasonable alternative and I know of none. Unitedstater ain't it. Before you bellyache about our choice of monikers, you need to have at hand a suitable alternative. Eh?
