Just read a few personal ads and then meet those same people in 3D! A tall, handsome, well-educated, mid forties male who loves kids, dogs and dancing might be a short, unattractive, illiterate, fifties female who hates kids, dogs and can't even dance!

And, darn it, I love to dance!

In 3d anything someone tells you could be fiction and even if it is true, and you combine it with visual clues and clues like tone of voice you still don't get a summation of the person.

A novel isn't that similar to these posts. A novell doesn't interact with you but with a series of posts back and forth people do interact with you, sometimes in near realtime.

I am more then my words, but that's true whether or not the words are verbal. My words verbal or written, are a communication from me. I am also more then what you would get from seeing me or having a brief conversation with me in 3D.

If a person's posts are not the real person, then in the same sense what you get in 3d is not the real person even if it is a bit closer.
