On his TV broadcast, Bob mentioned that internet banks are to be avoided due to safety of capital issues.

Does anyone know of any actual instances of problems with online banks. Also I put money in them but stay under the 100k fdic limt.

Does anyone see any danger in this practice?

Thanks

He gives ranges...

How's this for a range... Up to 50% or more

Bob has always been the consummate hedger in everything he predicts. Get used to it. It's safe, and it allows him to portray himself as flawless and collect $185/year from those who buy it.

best...

>>>he's putzing around in the dark trying to figure out if that light is the exit or another train headed this way<<<

I think that sums up my sentiment pretty nicely. I also agree with your assessment that BB's actions in 2000 point more to a belief that the bear would be short lived. Heck he couldn't even bring himself to use the word "bear" until late in 2000. In addition, it wasn't until later in 2001 that the concept of a secular bear surfaced in his vocabulary.

Furthermore, his reticence about discussing current market trends is indicative of fear and uncertainty. He knows he was wrong about the bear initially and his own confidence has been shattered.

All clues point to a lack of foresight and visibility. He is definitely wandering around in the dark with no evidence in the last 2 years that he knows what to do.

**These are not, IMO, the actions of someone who had great faith in the deep, long bear we have and are experiencing. Like everyone else, he's putzing around in the dark trying to figure out if that light is the exit or another train headed this way.**

the EXACT same condition as a monkey with a buy button. right?
