Congrats on your recent trading success polvie. I have to agree that I have felt safer going short than going long for quite a few months now. In fact, I've made far more $$$ & taken far less losses going short compared to going long in that time frame.

I couldn't disagree more with your basis for your trading decisions. Your disdain for the Bush Administration (and republicans in general) & making it a basis for your trading decisions has only worked thru coincidence IMVHO.

IMO, it has only worked because the market, still suffering from the bursting bubble created by the previous administration & mistakes by AG, are going to take a long time to fully unwind. History is replete with the consequences of prior bubbles. And the one created during the Clinton Administration is a real doozy. They take years to unwind & there is little that can be done to stop the dire economic consequences. That’s a fact.

Things were only exasperated by the tragic events of 9/11 & for which I lay significant blame at the previous administration's feet. The economic consequences of 9/11 will far exceed the $1 trillion in damages from the attack, which will drag on economies globally for years.

IMVHO, the current trend in the market has almost nothing to do with the current administration. The facts just don't support this supposition. You can argue current policies & actions or the lack thereof until you are blue in the face. The fact is the bubble was created by Clinton & AG policies & it began to burst at the end of the end of it. Look no further than the final GDP numbers to see how the trend from bubble economy to recessionary economy occurred. That alone will take years to unwind regardless of who is at the helm. Clinton's failed foreign policies, severe cutbacks in most gov't agencies, as well as failing to address the growing menace of terrorists worldwide; The lack of action toward Bin Laden, Al Queda & terrorism in general set the stage for 9/11. The direct & indirect costs of 9/11 & defending the US from future attacks will be staggering. Those massive mistakes have only added significantly to the burden placed upon global economies. It certainly has dramatically hampered the current administration's ability to deal with the consequences of the economic bubble.

Nothing can change those facts. Perhaps flawed perceptions can allow for one to believe a different reality, but it can't change what actually occurred in the real world.

You are correct that I didn't put you on ignore. I just decided to back off from debating issues with folks who want their perceptions, regardless of their numerous flaws, to be reality, while blithely ignoring, dismissing, discounting &/or misrepresenting factual information contrary to their POV. Oh & taking personal swipes at those with contrary POV's only made it obvious that these people weren't interested in anything but their perceptions of reality, regardless of any facts.

You see I know what is & alone means. Is means to equal in meaning : have the same connotation as :{God is love}. It does not mean, 'to be or not to be', to parse words into whatever you wish to perceive it to be for personal gain.

Alone means separated from others : ISOLATED. Something I'm not afraid of doing when I believe in something, even when it is not the popular thing to do. It does not mean to mangle the meaning of is in order to change the meaning of alone.

I'm afraid Clinton's actions/lifestyle has made it too easy for folks to justify low moral standards, parsing of words & reality for personal gain & to implement the politics of personal destruction when someone or a group has the balls to stand up to you with a differing POV.

It just my POV polvie. Nothing personal, it's just what I perceive to be reality, based on the facts that I can provide more than reasonable support for.
