"maybe you don't need to pretend." You have pretended that posters are all phoney. I think posters are more authentic than they are when they must kiss ass to their local politician, banker, or wife. I thought that you were kissing someone's ass on SI. It surprised me; because on SI you don't have to kiss ass. Probably you simply found yourself agreeing that you were not a real person and that all your words were terribly untrustworthy and worthless in real time and space.
