Re: Who's selling 4-way Windows or Linux systems for $100K?

Hard to say right now, it looks like HPQ decided to use Itanic for their application server:

Remember Torvald's quote "Enough eyes render all bugs trivial?" In the case of Itanic, the extremely limited number of eyes looking at systems and code render all bugs major.

Re: Who's selling 4-way Windows or Linux systems for $100K?

How about $231,979 US for a 2-way HP server rx2600 and $402,032 US for a 4-way HP server rx5670 from HPQ?

I'm buying dual processor Athlon systems with 8-spindle arrays and 2gig of RAM for less than $5k right now. Next year (when a configured Itanium is "only" $100K) I'll be buying 4 processor Opteron systems with 8gig of RAM for $10K.
