A point that is missed, death squads or no, is that FARC is active within the Unions and are responsible for over 1600 kidnappings of foreigners and Columbians a year, and hundreds of murders of their own. It is absolutely no surprise that right wing retaliates against left wing in that country. If they did not, I would have to say they would be asleep. To say that because it is an American company that the US people are behind this is a stretch. If it the Columbian management I would even be surprised. More likely the military squads of this area take a deep interest in left wing acitivities going on anywhere all on their own. EC<:-}
