A point that is missed, death squads or no, is that FARC is active within the Unions and are responsible for over 1600 kidnappings of foreigners and Columbians a year, and hundreds of murders of their own. It is absolutely no surprise that right wing retaliates against left wing in that country. If they did not, I would have to say they would be asleep. To say that because it is an American company that the US people are behind this is a stretch. If it the Columbian management I would even be surprised. More likely the military squads of this area take a deep interest in left wing acitivities going on anywhere all on their own.

Are the bottling companies there part of Coke? In this country they often are separate companies with separate ownership.
