Better yet (IMHO, of course): while the SuperMonopoly is delayed, a consortium representing a huge portion of NASDAQ trading volume has a chance at acquiring a competitive trading venue.

The WSJ reported on Tuesday, September 10th, that a group consisting of Pershing (DLJ/CSFB), Schwab, Instinet Group, The Island ECN, E*Trade, and Knight was putting together a bid for the Cincinati Stock Exchange.
