Hi Ish - thanks for the vote of confidence but all I know is what I read.

It's possible (likely) that a good bit of what is in the news is disinformation, designed to scare the crap out of the Iraqis in hopes or fears that they will make a bad move before we decide what to do or are ready to do it.
