i agree with most of what you say ,except tesla was far from a and remains far from a whacko has been.. nearly ever modern electrical device was first developed by him including most of the work of marrconi, edison and westinghouse.
but there are a lot of strange claims out there.. at least tesla did the "show me " part first

Don't slander the name of Tesla by associating him with this bullshit. Tesla is responsible for the A.C. power grid, radio, and generator design, among other things. His generators are still providing power at Niagra Falls. Tesla was a scientist who proved and DEMONSTRATED his ideas, not a scam artist like these guys.
