I just posted that link to an article in the World Policy Journal but without much information on the journal. I began to check around and found FL had, thoughtfully, provided this note about it in one of his posts.

Quarterly. Imagine a liberal version of a cross between Survival and The National Interest. That is, wonkery plus some general intellectual stuff, at its best excellent, the rest solid but a bit dry.

This particular article, however, is less analysis and more journalistic reporting, at its best.

>>>>Iranians suffer under an economy whose retarded growth cannot keep up with their country?s ballooning working-age population: two-thirds of the population of 65 million is under the age of 30. Moreover, 52 percent of Iran?s 41 million voters are under 30, and 22 percent are under 20 (the voting age is 16). According to the government, some 40 percent of Iranians are living in poverty.<<<<

That sums up the demographics that will cause another Revolution, IMO. This report echoes what I read in all the reports from foreigners on Iran.

If we do take Iraq, the effect on Iran may be an overthrow of the Mullahs. We might be able to expedite it with a threat of "Get rid of the Terrorists, (and therefore, the Mullahs) or else!"
