I asked you to take it in good humour as being related more to the way you have claimed the people on SI "really" are. You sound upset in some why and that perplexes me. Of course that is only my opinion in case you thought it was someone elses...

"Why is it so important that people perceive your writing as "you"?" Because it is a fact. Many people got tired of hearing the thoughts, opinions, and feelings of real people in the SI community of people, trampled on, mocked, dismissed, and denigrated. Your emotional outbursts were certainly a part of that, and that is fine. But in my opinion you have not been forthcoming with (former) friends and acquaintances on SI, and have pushed this "it was not me" defense further than any reasonable people can countenance. In truth, real people get tired of hearing that "in my opinion" crap and such day after day. You're a smart and decent person so "get real", for Christ's sake...<ggg>
