Butler and Ekeus, even more at the center of arms inspection than Ritter for all his puffery, totally disagree with him.

There seems to be some disagreement here. More light needs to be brought on this murky issue. I would tend to trust sources not paid either by the Iraqis or the USA. Maybe Russia and China's views need a little airing.

Russia is on the doorstep of any Iraq vs Israel nuclear confrontation for a start. They can ship lots of oil too, so have an ability to keep the Saudie and Iraqi regimes in check.

Perhaps Tony B and George W can take some time off and let Putin deal with it?

...btw. Extremely funny cartoon in the UK Times today.

George W sitting in his cowboy outfit, six guns, spurs, boots, an all, at the campfire with an effeminate poodle drawn as Tony B. The cartoon is Titled "The hunters camp" and complete with "unable to come" notes from France (Je ne paux pas), Russia (cant afford it), and China (NO!). George says "So, it's just you and me 'ol buddy", the poodles remark..."FINE! I'll hunt anything but foxes" -lol-

I mean.. that is British Politics. Save the foxes from hunters. Where does Tony B get his support from?

Somebody big has to be propping him up. It's not the voting left for sure.
