Tell it to Bush... besides, it did eliminate their army, they didn't have to join the fight... don't make the United States the bad guy here, you're making a grave error in judgement...

So, basically, when the wet work starts, you pee your pants and go hide in appeasement...

res-We murdered thousands of helpless Iraqi soldiers who wanted nothing more than to surrender and left Saddam in power.

Do you mean the same Iraqi soldiers who marched into Kawaiit killing men women and children who stood in their path?

Do you mean the same Iraqi soldiers who killed U.S. soldiers with scud missiles?

What made them run like cowards was our tanks, artillery, bombs, and rifles. Don't kid yourself Roger. If they thought they had a chance in hell to kill Americans and rule the middle east they would have done it in a heart-beat.

What won the Gulf war and caused them to look like helpless victims was our superior weapons, superior leadership, superior training, superior soldiers and superior war-fighting capability.

Before the battle many in the media were predicting an American bloodbath where we would be stuck in a quagmire similar to Vietnam. President Bush 1 was the one who demonstrated the courage to think independently and believe our troops were far better than the pundits predicted. Reagan's army was ready for the challenge. And even though former President Clinton did everything he could to destroy that fine military machine, it still remains the most formidable force the world has ever seen.

Saddam and whoever follows him is about to find that out a second time very soon.

RE: We murdered thousands of helpless Iraqi soldiers who wanted nothing more than to surrender and left Saddam in power

The Iraqi troops "retreating" from Kuwait were carrying with them the plunder of the nation. Since they were still operating in a war mode, the Allies were entitled to fire on them. Granted it was ugly, but then so is invading a nation and killing its people, burning its oil wells, and plundering its wealth.
