There is another potential scenario to consider. It could be that Perle knows that such information exists to support his views and that the administration has been unwilling to compromise intelligence sources by making the information public. (such information would likely ONLY come from a CLOSELY placed spy in Saddam's circle).

If there were credible information linking Iraq to al-Qaida, this evidence will have been shared during the closed door consultations with some of our high ranking critical members of our allies and some of the overt criticisms from many of our traditional allies would have been tempered. So I highly doubt this possibility.

The president's address before the UN this Thursday is going to be quite a busy topic of conversation on this thread, I would imagine. <smile>
