I neither disagreed with his target (though I will now, for the record) nor dismissed him. I only asked how dividend yields in a world without income taxes could be reasonably compared to one where they are taxed twice. He may have other reasons for his target, but dividend yields 100+ years ago should not be one of them. That he would use that to make his case calls the whole case into question, IMO.

PS: Abbey Cohen was never wrong either... for a while. Challenging her views was unpopular for that same while, and she was defended with the same "track record" and "stature" arguments.
