Borger makes a disingenuous and superficial argument: If big business is controlled by a bunch of bandits, only government can be the sheriff. Even an antiregulation Republican like George W. Bush has come around to that view.

pResident Smirk certainly did not come around to that view. Even Wall Street has a name for it. Whenever the Shrub pontificates about ethics, they "fade Bush". Stocks tumble.

As Robin Williams astutely observed: "A lecture from George Bush on business ethics? That's like getting a facial from a leper."
