NPR hits a variety of topics from unusual angles. The overall suck-up to minority issues can get a bit sacharin but I don't mean to vitiate its usefulness as an overall source of info. Sometimes the truth gets through if for no other reason than the urgency to fill airtime.

I remember one Hispanic NPR commentator who interviewed a black guy about the lack of black presence in the media. The guy attacked NPR for being no better than any other network when it comes to including blacks. The commentator seemed to think NPR had done a great thing to include a few Hispanics!

Actually the BBC is probably the least biased when they report the news. They seem to give just the facts mam while presenting the news of the day. Although choosing what news stories to present can often be an opportunity for bias too I suppose.
