i.e. little they can do beyond a sort of serrendipity.

lg... CDE is weak because the price of silver is hardly above four-and-a-half bucks. FWIW, if the index were the only place to play I wouldn't have had a multitude of multi-baggers in my portfolio.

...but it's a good place to start.
