9/11 Attacks - We Clearly Need an Independent Investigation Hi Pat, I haven't heard anything about Bush suffering from remorse. The video of him at Booker Elementary makes it quite clear that the attack was no surprise to him: buzzflash.com He's stated twice in public that he saw the first jet hit the WTC. That was not on the public media. The most likely explanation is that he saw it on closed circuit TV provided for him in the limo on the way to Booker Elementary. Then when Andy Card told him that the second plane had hit, he didn't move. As if he were following a script, not as if he were the President and the nation was under attack and he must get the hell out of the third grade to take charge of the situation. He acted like a zombie instead. Couple that with the information that FEMA had a special unit moved into NYC on Sept. 10, that Ashcroft was cutting the anti-terrorism intelligence effort and pretty soon it starts to look like we need to get some answers.
